Fair Discipline Policy

The Auburn Public School Fair Discipline Code focuses on the rights and responsibilities of the individuals in the school community.Students thinking and attention is directed to how their behaviour affects others. People can expect to be treated with respect and dignity as each member of the school community acts responsibly.

At Auburn Public School EVERYBODY has RIGHTS. TheCharter of Rights is:

We all have the right to work, play and learn in a friendly, safe and helpful school.

We all have the right to teach in a friendly, safe and satisfying school, which is supported by the school community.

We all have the right to feel welcome and to know that our childrenwork, play and learn in a friendly, safe and helpful school.

To help protect our rights and to encourage responsibility we have 3 basic school rules that are encouraged both inside and outside the classroom.

The Fair Discipline Code is driven by the school's need to reward and encourage positive behaviour. The Code is  supported by a number of appendices outlining Playground Rules, Consequences for Misdemeanours, Weapons at School, Suspension, Exclusion and Expulsion and Reviewing Rules in the Classroom.
