Ms Tas is the Learning and Support Co-ordinator at Auburn Public School and has been in this role for the past 7 years. Before this role, Ms Tas worked at several other local schools,  in various teaching positions such as classroom teacher, EAL/D teacher,  reading tutor and Assistant Principal. This is her 38th year of teaching and she enjoys it as much today as she did when she first started teaching in 1986.

As part of her role as Learning and Support Co-ordinator, Ms Tas works closely with students, families, teachers and external therapists in identifying, supporting and monitoring students with specific learning needs.Working in this capacity, fulfilling the requirements of the role and sharing her knowledge and experience in this teaching/learning area , has been a passion that Ms Tas has had for a very long time.

Ms Tas says, "If I can make a difference to one child's school life, then I have done my job well! Every child has a right to come to school feeling safe, valued and respected. Every child has a right to learn!"

As a member of Learning and Support Team at Auburn Public School Miss Reena Kaur says 'my fundamental duty is to ensure the success of all students, including those with disabilities and additional learning and support needs'. I consistently assist classroom teachers to improve the learning outcomes for all students, coordinate planning processes and resources for students with disabilities and additional learning and support needs so that all students can access quality learning to become successful in life. I develop collaborative partnerships with the school, parents and carers, other professionals, and the wider school community.
