School contributions

In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.

Transition to School

As each school year draws to a close, Auburn Public School warmly invites children who have enrolled for the upcoming Kindergarten intake to participate in our specially designed Transition to School program. This program typically runs on Fridays over a period of three to four weeks, providing young learners with the opportunity to familiarise themselves to the school environment in a supportive and engaging way. During each hourly session, children take part in a range of fun and educational activities conducted within a real Kindergarten classroom setting, led by experienced Kindergarten teachers. These activities are designed to help children build confidence, develop social skills, and become familiar with classroom routines.

In addition to supporting pre-Kindy children, the program offers valuable resources for parents and carers. Families are encouraged to attend a series of information sessions facilitated by our Community Liaison Officer throughout the transition period. These sessions cover important topics such as what to expect in Kindergarten, how to support children’s learning and wellbeing, and details about school policies and routines. The Transition to School program aims to create a smooth and positive start to the school journey for both children and their families, fostering strong connections between home and school from the outset.
