The Support Unit Power Groups consists of students in K/6N, K/6W and K/6Y. Students have been placed in a K-1 Power Group (8 students) and a 2-6 Power Group (13 students) where they have access to highly differentiated teaching and learning programs specific to their educational, social, behavioural and emotional needs.
The Power Groups program has been meticulously planned to ensure students varied and individual needs are catered to and that they have access to the curriculum at the appropriate levels. In each Power Group there are always 3 staff members available to provide intensive support, where needed.
Class teachers, Mrs Bonus-Ross, Ms Cross and Ms Rodrigues rotate between the two Power Groups throughout the school day. They regularly meet for collaborative, evaluative and reflective discussions and strive to provide students with quality learning experiences.
