K-6 Assembly

School Photo Day
Date: 29th and 30th of October 2026
School Photo Day is coming up! Students will have the opportunity to have their individual and class photos taken, capturing special memories from another wonderful year at Auburn Public School.
Music and Games Night
Date: 5th of November 2026
Get excited for our Students-Only Music and Games Night featuring a live DJ! Enjoy awesome tunes, lively performances, and fun games with your friends. This is a great chance to dance, compete, and celebrate together in a safe and friendly environment. Don’t miss out on the fun—see you on the dance floor!
Powerhouse Museum Visit
Date: 9th of November 2026
We are excited to announce our upcoming excursion to the Powerhouse Museum at its new Parramatta location! Students will explore interactive exhibits and participate in hands-on activities, all designed to inspire curiosity in science, technology, and creativity.
Community Day
Date: Week 5

Russ the Bus
Date: 19th and 20th of November 2026
We are excited to announce that Russ the Bus will be visiting our school soon! Russ is a retired school bus that has been converted into a moving children’s library, bringing books and stories directly to our students.

Footsteps Dance Concerts

Get ready for our Footsteps Dance Concert! Students will showcase their dancing skills and the routines they've learned through the Footsteps Dance program. This exciting event highlights our students' creativity, teamwork, and hard work, and promises plenty of fun and energy. Families are invited to come along and celebrate with us as our talented students take to the stage.

Term 3 Community Lunch
Our Term 3 Community Lunch was a fantastic opportunity for parents, carers and staff to come together and enjoy a wonderful selection of food. It was lovely to see our school community connecting, sharing and celebrating the many cultures that make Auburn Public School so special. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an enjoyable lunch!
140th Birthday Assembly

On 28th August 2026, we proudly celebrated our school’s 140th Birthday with a very special commemorative assembly. The event honoured our rich history, recognised the achievements of past and present students and staff, and celebrated the strong sense of community that has shaped our school over the past 140 years.
It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our school’s journey, celebrate our achievements and come together as a community to mark this incredible milestone. Happy 140th Birthday, Auburn Public School!
National Science Week
During Week 5, we celebrated National Science Week with lots of exciting science activities! Throughout the week, students took part in a range of hands-on investigations, experiments and STEM challenges that sparked curiosity and encouraged a love of learning.
Students had the opportunity to explore, question and discover the world around them while developing their scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.
As part of the celebrations, students also enjoyed the thrilling Mad About Science Show, featuring exciting demonstrations and interactive experiments that made science fun, engaging and memorable!
Term 2 Community Lunch
Date: 2nd of July
Our Term 2 Community Lunch brought together parents, carers and staff to share a variety of delicious food and enjoy time together. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, celebrate our diverse school community and strengthen the partnerships between home and school.
Athletics Carnival
Date: 12th of June
Our Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with energy, teamwork and school spirit! Students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of track and field events, showcasing their athletic skills, determination and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Spelling Bee Stage Finals
Date: 9th of June
Our Stage Spelling Bee Finals were a fantastic celebration of spelling, confidence and perseverance. Students showcased their impressive spelling skills and courage as they competed in front of their peers. We are incredibly proud of all participants for their effort and determination, and congratulations to our finalists and winners on an outstanding achievement!
Stage 1 Excursion- Taronga Zoo
Date: 21st of May
Stage 1 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to Taronga Zoo Sydney, where they explored a wide variety of animals and learned about habitats, adaptations, and conservation. This hands-on learning experience allowed students to deepen their understanding through engaging and interactive activities.
Cross Country
Date: Friday 24th April 2026
Our school Cross Country was an exciting event, with students showing determination, resilience and great sportsmanship throughout their races. It was fantastic to see everyone encouraging one another and striving to achieve their personal best on such a fun and active day!
Sydney Zoo Excursion Stage 3
Date: Friday 27th March 2026
Stage 3 participated in an excursion to support their learning in Science. The excursion was run at the zoo, where students engaged in a range of activities focused on animal adaptations and environmental conservation. Students explored how animals survive in their environments and learnt about the role humans can play in protecting wildlife.
Culture Connects Us All
Date: Thursday 26th March 2026
We warmly invited parents and families to join us for a special day at our school as we came together to recognise and appreciate the rich diversity within our community.
Throughout the day, there was a range of events, including a parents and staff luncheon, cultural performances, and the announcement of our Harmony Day competition winners.
Stage 2 Geography Incursion
Date: 27th March 2025
Stage 2 participated in an incursion to support their learning in Geography. The incursion was run by Ranger Jamie Tours. Students participated in different activities learning about how they can protect the environment.
Book Week
Date: 21st August 2025
Book Week is a special time at our school where we celebrate a love of reading. Students take part in fun activities throughout the week.
Open day
Date: 5th August 2025
School open day is an opportunity for students, parents and carers to get to know our school.
Indigenous Games Day
Date: 1st August 2025
We celebrated the end of NAIDOC week with Indigenous Games Day. Students participated in a variety of hands-on Indigenous games and read about the history of Indigenous Games.
Green Slip Day
Date: Last week of the term
Green Slip Day is a reward day for students who stayed 'green' throughout the term, as part of our PBL behaviour program. Each stage holds a different Green Slip Day activity.
SRC Fundraising
Date: Throughout the school year
Our SRC hold several fundraising events to raise funds for SRC chosen charities such as Red Nose Day and Jeans for Genes Day.
